- What is your site about?
- Are you just one of those sites that exist to sell ads, nothing more?
- How do the blogs work?
- Will I become famous if I create a blog here?
- Who owns the content of my own blog, me, or TrainingMagazine.com?
- What's that supposed to mean, a "good question" - aren't you the person who is writing these questions?
- Well do you have a good answer?
- Well I might want to write a book using some of my blog posts.
- I've seen video in some of the blog posts. How does that work?
- Does it cost anything to join?
- Are you associated with any print publications?
TrainingMagazine.com is a startup website created by a collection of professionals involved in the training and media industries. Our goal is to create a forum in which professionals engaged in the training industry can meet and exchange information pertaining to their professions, with an emphasis on the technology and practices involved in delivering training online.
No! A reasonable question. But no. Do we have ads? Well of course, so does the Wall Street Journal. But you'll notice that our advertising is not as prevalent nor as obnoxiously placed as many sites tend to do, including so-called "mainstream media" sites. We are committed to the sharing of valid, substantial, relevant, timely information pertaining to the industries of training and education. Our emphasis is toward cutting edge technology and practices involved with online training. We use RSS feeds for news and other aggregated data. Our blogs are not automatically generated, they are original contributions. The same is true of our articles and the forum. This is a "real site", not a robot-generated content mill.
You must register to be able to create a blog. If you register, you'll get a login user name and password, and when you log in, look for the "My Account" link. Click on it, and you should see a link you can use to create blog posts. Your blog post will appear (1) in your own blog, (2) in the combined site-wide blog, available at the "Blog" tab, and (3) anywhere the Site Administrator chooses to promote it, such as the front page of the site, if you've written something particular relevant or popular.
It could happen.
That's a good question.
Maybe. It's still a good question.
Sure, let's go with this: we both own it. TrainingMagazine.com owns unlimited republication rights to all blog posts, and so do you. Listen, it's all freely available content anyway, what do you care?
No problem. Go ahead, and then you can announce it on your blog here if you'd like.
If you find a video at a site like YouTube, use that site's features to obtain the required code to "embed" a video. Then copy-and-paste that exact code into your blog post here. Be sure you are not posting with "Filtered HTML" but instead are using "Full HTML". If that last "filtered" or "full" question doesn't make sense, then don't worry about it, your blog post editing page may not offer the option.
No! Anyone can register for an account.
No.
